Arts and other drugs part 1

Hello friends!

As you've probably guessed already Julius and I are very artistic. Especially me. But did you know that one of our humans has a workshop? We can hang out there as much as we want and practice various art forms.

Yesterday we went there, so let's have a look at what we did.

We both love to paint. Julius is a newbie when it comes to art, he hasn't really developed his style yet but at least he's learning something, sort of.

We pulled out the easel, paintbrushes and paint. Julius was eager to start so he got to go first.

Not bad, Julius, not bad, but you're not quite there yet.
Then it was my turn. Let me show you how the professionals do it.
My painting is so full of emotion and expression.

Oh look, the floor of the workshop has become a painting of its own.
Just adding the final touches and voilĂ  a masterpiece is born.
Here is the final result. The paintings will be sold to the highest bidder. You can tell Julius what you think of his painting in the comment field below to encourage to keep improving. No need to comment on my painting of course, it's pure perfection, I know.

The day didn't end there. We also had lots of fun doing pottery but you'll have to wait until tomorrow to get that part of the story. So check back in tomorrow.

See you tomorrow!

Kiasma

Gooooood mooorning, Helsinki!

Last Friday I went to Kiasma which is the museum of contemporary art in Helsinki.
Personally I think contemporary art is mostly bullshit, but I guess it's healthy to challenge yourself from time to time, and admission is free on the first Friday of the month anyway, so at least I didn't waste any money.

Oh look, a vase with a teddybear (and Donald Trump) on it!

The building itself is kind of interesting.

I have no clue what this is supposed to be about. It's not even a painting, it's a tapestry...

Finally a familiar face!

I really, really want one of these for Christmas. Humans, are you listening?

Look, it comes complete with a shrine for your teddybear!

I wonder what this thing is for. Maybe that could be my Christmas present for Jevgeni.

Turns out contemporary art isn't as bad as I thought. Hope you enjoyed it.
